Calculating cent per point value is one indicator of value when it comes to our credit card rrewards for award travel, travel hacking and even to travel for free. The better the CPP value, usually the better redemption you made. And making sure we get good value from our points is extremely important when we look to use our Amex points, or Chase points too.

Good morning
Incredibly concise and insightful video! I'm always doing the conversions in my head to quantify (and maximize) redemption value!
Math!
morning sir, great video as always.
I always wondered how TPG valuation for UR/MR points are 2cpp when all their airline mile valuations are less than 2cpp. My guess was they just boosted the valuation given its flexibility but just confusing.
Love these short videos for quick tips! Thank you!
Great tip – One day there will be a all-inclusive app for point/miles community .. point value / what card to use / added to the card benifits ect. theres a lot of moving parts to this game. .
Excellent use of the short video format
You covered it quickly in the video, but it might be easy to miss for a newbie. On hotel redemptions, make sure you go to the final screen before paying to get the nightly rate plus taxes. There is no tax on hotel reward night redemptions like there is on airlines. That can be a significant additional savings (taxes are different everywhere).
Awesome thank You
Dustin for the win!!! In 47 seconds he summed up my thoughts on SkyMiles…THEY’RE USELESS!! Just kidding, please, no hate comments. Hahahahaha. 🤣😂
Its like Dustin does a sudden murderous drive by with these short videos full of good info. I was just sitting in my front porch chilling Dustin. Why all the quick and sudden violence of information? 😄
Yup! Home Depot gift cards!
SHORTEST VIDEO EVER … I will only watch it 3 more times. Today.
But you gotta subtract it from the AAA discount and add in the status benefit value and then multiple by the % of the subjective value that is to you and discount it based on how easy it is to earn the points. That’s your final final cpp. 😝
Damn, he wasn’t playin with the length of this vid.
Straight to my “favorites” folder. Thanks for this video. I’m really trying to learn 🙏
Love it!
